The 2026 UAW ConCon Strategy Special Membership Meeting was held on Sunday, February 15th, 2026

The first item on the agenda was a Constitutional Convention Strategy Committee report. This report outlined some basic facts about the ConCon, the timeline and deadlines for resolutions to be passed and delegates to be elected, and the political analysis of the ConCon developed by our membership in tandem with the committee since the effort began after an October 2025 membership resolution. Finally, the Committee presented organizing strategies our members should be carrying out between now and the convention in June.

Next was the business section of the meeting.

The first orders of business were two proposed strategy resolutions. Both proposed resolutions were adopted after being debated and voted on in the following order.

The next order of business were three proposed constitutional amendments placed on the consent agenda after receiving at least 90% support in our pre-meeting membership poll.

That was followed by a discussion on eight proposed constitutional amendments that were not on the consent agenda. Five proposed amendments were adopted, some after being amended during debate and voted on, in the order below. Debate ranged across a variety of perspectives, including discussion on how the content of the proposals connects to UAWD’s class struggle platform, whether the the proposals could be used to build shop floor interest, and whether the implementations in the proposals were sufficiently well-developed.

The final point of business was a debate and vote on the final program resolution, synthesized based on the results of the eleven proposed constitutional amendments that make up the content of the UAWD 2026 Constitutional Convention program. The resolution was adopted by unanimous consent.

This was followed by a brief discussion about how to implement our strategy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 UAW ConCon Strategy Special Membership Meeting!
