- To dissolve the caucus would have required a bylaws amendment, which according to UAWD bylaws has to be read at one membership meeting and voted on at the subsequent membership meeting and requires a two-thirds supermajority in favor. This process was not followed.
- A number of members in good standing were unable to join the call through no fault of their own.
- The voting was closed after 90 seconds, with approximately 50 members’ votes not tallied.
- While Steering Committee Chair Houldieson was able to present the argument that dissolving the caucus did not require a bylaws amendment, there was no opportunity for anyone to make a counter argument against voting on the dissolution resolution at the April meeting
- Most members were muted during the entire discussion and were unable to make points of order;

Whereas, seven members of the UAWD Steering Committee — Scott Houldieson, Chris Budnick, Eric Truss, Alex Bruns-Smith, Nick Livick, Ben Hinsey and Deneen Brewer — introduced a motion at the April 27 UAWD quarterly membership meeting to dissolve UAWD;
