Resolution: Approving the Appointments to the Daily Struggle Editorial Board

This resolution was passed at the Winter Membership Meeting via Zoom on January 25, 2026.

Whereas, in October 2025, UAWD launched Daily Struggle to be the voice of UAWD, from the frontlines of the class struggle, by and for UAW members; it has published eight articles in that time, featuring original art, viewed by thousands of UAW members, with several articles in-progress.

Whereas, the Resolution to Create a UAWD Publication Focused on Class Struggle Unionism, adopted in June 2025, states in Article II.B.ii.b, “The Steering Committee may appoint any UAWD member to the EB; for that member to maintain the position, the appointment must be approved by the UAWD membership at the subsequent membership meeting;”

Whereas, following the 2025 UAWD Annual Meeting in October, seven current members of the Daily Struggle Editorial Board made detailed submissions to the Editorial Board Interest Form, agreeing to the full “Responsibilities and Expectations” list contained in the Publication Charter;

Whereas, after assessing and discussing their submissions, the Steering Committee appointed these seven UAWD members to the Editorial Board at our January 11, 2026 meeting;

Whereas, any UAWD member who completes the Editorial Board Interest Form may still be considered for appointment to the Editorial Board;

Be it resolved, the UAWD membership approves the appointments of the following seven UAWD members to the Daily Struggle Editorial Board:
