Legal Rights of Union Stewards
We’re offering a free online class — The Legal Rights of Union Stewards and Committee People — on Sunday, May 5 at 2pm ET.
This class is led by an experienced labor lawyer and a former UAW shop committee member. All UAW members welcome, whether you’re on a shop committee or a rank-and-file member looking to get more involved.
The class will cover topics including: the rights of stewards in investigations and disciplinary meetings, how to write a grievance and conduct a thorough investigation, duty of fair representation, and how to use member power to resolve grievances.
NO MEMBER LEFT BEHIND: Protect Stellantis Supplemental Employees
After relying for years on a large group of over 5,000 Supplemental Employees, the company is now terminating hundreds of the workers who generated its record profits. The terminations punish hardworking Supplemental Employees and create more work for Seniority Employees who are already over-worked, raising the possibility of more mandatory overtime.
We demand that Stellantis:
- Reinstate the 539 Supplemental Employees terminated in January, with full back-pay and the restoration of their former Corporate Service Date.
- Stop terminating further Supplemental Employees.
No Corruption, No Concessions, No Tiers

What’s Next for UAWD in the Years to Come?
