UAWD Training: Taking Shop-Floor Action Tactics for Beating the Boss through Collective Struggle Join Us on Zoom at 3pm ET on Sunday, November 22

Following our last training, Communicating with Coworkers and Building a Shop-Floor Movement, UAWD is inviting all UAW members to join us for our third training in our Class Struggle on the Shop Floor series!

To beat the boss, we need more than legal and bureaucratic structures – we need collective action on the shop floor. That means you and your coworkers taking action to disrupt production and push the boss to give into your demands.

In this training, we’ll dig into the history of collective action in the labor movement that succeeds in bringing workers together to fight the capitalist class. We’ll talk about how to choose a shop floor issue with your coworkers to lay the groundwork for successful action, develop an effective escalation plan, choose tactics that actually work, and execute them successfully. We’ll also talk about the limits of bureaucratic strategies and why collective action is our most powerful tool for beating the boss.

We’ll hear real-world examples from organizers who have led successful shop-floor actions like walkouts, rallies, slow-downs, and strikes. If you want to learn how shop-floor leaders have beat the boss through collective action, and how you and your coworkers can do the same, register now.
