The 2026 UAWD Annual Membership Meeting was held on Sunday, October 25th, 2026.
The first item on the agenda was a Steering Committee Annual report, given by Dave Park which included a celebration of the one year anniversary of Daily Struggle, an update on Local Chapter development, an overview of the 3 trainings given by the Organizing Committee, and an accounting of the organization’s growth since the last Annual Meeting.
This was followed by reports from our Financial Secretary and Trustees, the Daily Struggle Editorial Board, and the Organizing Committee.
The next item on the agenda was the Steering Committee election. There were five candidates up for election. Votes were cast via PollEV. Jeremy Bunyaner, Judy Wraight, Mike Davis, Zach Teachout, and Margie Thornton were elected following our Bylaws, which require that all candidates pass the RCV threshold to be elected. Congratulations to our returning Steering Committee members!
Next on the agenda was the business portion of the meeting.
The first order of business was the consideration, debate, and vote on the proposed bylaws amendment and resolutions.
One bylaws amendment and three resolutions were adopted, after being debated and voted on in the following order:
- Amendment #1. Implementing a Minimum Threshold for Resolution Submission
- Resolution #1.Resolution to Adopt A UAWD Harassment and Member Safety Policy
- Resolution #2. Proposed Amendments to the Daily Struggle Charter for Our UAWD Publication’s Second Year
- Resolution #3. Enforcing Membership Participation Commitments & Entering A New Term with Reduced Leadership Capacity
After several hours of comradely discussion and debate, the meeting was adjourned by members present.
